Condor, a prominent leisure airline, has chosen Terminal 6 (T6) at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) for its future operations. The airline joins a list of international carriers, including Air Canada, Aer Lingus, ANA, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Cathay Pacific, JetBlue, Lufthansa, Norse Atlantic Airways, and SWISS, who have also chosen the new T6 as their future JFK base.

Terminal 6 is a significant part of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s $19 billion transformation of JFK into a globally competitive airport. The project includes two new terminals, two expanded and modernized terminals, a new ground transportation center, and a simplified roadway network.

Since 2014, Condor has been operating year-round service from JFK Terminal 7 to Frankfurt, Germany, using its Airbus A330neo aircraft. The new terminal will provide a digital-first, boutique guest experience featuring NYC-inspired shopping, dining, lounges, amenities, public art, sustainable operating features, and a premium guest experience.

The new terminal is expected to open its first gates in early 2026. It is currently under construction, with the first six gates to open in 2026 and full completion expected by 2028. Terminal 6 will include 10 gates, nine of which will accommodate widebody aircraft, an automated baggage system, customs/border control facilities, the latest TSA screening technologies, airline lounges, a ground transportation center, and a collection of New York City-inspired artwork. The terminal will also have sustainability certifications for LEED (silver or gold), Envision, and SITES.

Condor, popularly known as Germany’s vacation airline, flies more than nine million guests annually to around 90 destinations in Europe, Africa, and America.
