
Southwest Airlines announced today that it has extended its flight schedule through November 1, 2025. The move aligns with the airline’s ongoing strategy of expanding its services and offering more nonstop flights across the country and beyond. All new and scheduled flights can be booked via the airline’s website.
With the expected opening of a new terminal at San Diego International Airport, Southwest Airlines plans to resume several seasonal routes from October 2, 2025. The airline will also commence daily nonstop flights from San Diego to Fresno, California, and will increase its service from San Diego to Tampa, Florida, from once a week to Thursdays through Mondays.
In October 2025, Southwest Airlines is set to increase its service to Austin by operating up to 128 flights daily during peak travel times. This will be the highest number of departures the airline has ever provided from Austin. Customers can now reserve nonstop flights between Austin, Texas, and Jacksonville, Florida, starting October 2, 2025.
The airline is also preparing for several new flights that were previously announced to start from next month. These include nonstop services between Austin, Texas, and Milwaukee; Austin, Texas, and Reno, Nevada; Nashville, Tennessee, and Indianapolis; and Sacramento, California, and Tucson, Arizona.
For international travel, Southwest Airlines is offering new nonstop flights on Saturdays from Nashville to Punta Cana and Cabo San Lucas/Los Cabos, starting March 8, 2025. These new routes supplement the existing international service between Nashville and Cancun. Additionally, from March 8, 2025, there will be nonstop services on Saturdays between Sacramento and Puerto Vallarta, which will complement the existing nonstop service from Sacramento to Cabo San Lucas/Los Cabos.
